Boot Camp is a great all-round exercise class using body weight and powerbags. Gunnersbury Boot Camp uses the Powerbag weight system as used by the winning England Rugby World Cup squad, the Army, RAF, Navy and Royal Marines. The aim will be to improve muscular strength, endurance and coordination as well as improve cardiovascular fitness.

Boxercise began in the UK in 1992 based upon training principles that have existed for over two hundred years. Boxercise has developed and adapted age old training principles to form a fun, addictive, safe, stress busting workout suitable for all ages and levels of ability. A typical Boxercise class always starts with a warm up. There will then be a section of the class enabling you to use your boxing skills in an energetic and fun set of routines, and you will have the chance to use both boxing mitts and focus pads with other members of the class. We then continue with a set of drills using boxing based exercises. The last section of the class adds in a variety of exercises in a circuit format. We finish with a cool down and stretch. Boxercise classes do not involve anyone getting punched, we only use mitts and pads.

If you're looking to increase strength and build some muscle mass then stack up your bar with the heavy weights and pump out the reps until you feel the burn in your muscles. If toning and tightening is your aim, keep it lighter - working through all the reps will also keep your heart rate up to burn some calories too. A typical PUMP! class includes a warm up using light weights to get your body used to the movements. You will then be led through a series of exercises working through all the major muscle groups including legs, back, chest, shoulders, arms and abs.
